I guess my work is were I find my biggest challenges with religious questions/situations.
V and I were talking about religion again. She may defend me but she is also challenges me too.We were talking about how do Pagans know about their religious pasts. The Christians have the bible that tells them how, when, where and, why. "What do you all have?"
I know I posted a long time ago- "And thou who thinkest to seek for Me, know thy seeking and yearning shall avail thee not, unless thou knowest the Mystery: that if that which thou seekest thou findest not within thee, thou wilt never find it without thee. For behold, I have been with thee from the beginning; and I am That which is attained at the end of Desire."
Basically, do not seek what you cannot find within. The Goddess is within just look within and you will find your answers.Ladies and Gentleman......Deer in the headlight look. LOL
I was not surprised to get a deer in the headlight look, I know better then to try and explain that. Christians are not use to speaking with their god as we can speak with the Goddess.
Then I explained that the Gods have been on stone walls, tablets, and ancient scrolls longer then the bible has been around. V still has a hard time seeing where I am coming from. I think she tries but it just confuses her. Or in her own little way she tries to convert me, but that will never happen.
Then I tried to get her to see that King James corrupted the bible when he had his priest retranslate it. That the bible was written by man, and that I doubt god came down and started typewriting out stories for man. Man had different motives when writing the bible.
Then she said "What about the flood?" "V there is scientific evidence that the flood did not happen all over the world! People were alive during that time and there is record of it."Which she so nicely stated "I don't believe in what those scientists say" http://www.epicidiot.com/evo_cre/noahs_flood.htm#global_or_local
I will let you all be the judge on that one.
Here is another one of my favorites http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/
I guess this will be another ongoing post to the blog as well. This one I know will never end. LOL
Anyone have any extra devil horns? I would like to ware them to work one day ;)

LOL..reminds me of some fun I had with Jehovah's witnesses about two months back. I was standing outside smoking a cigarette and of course they wanted to talk to me. They asked me if I believed what the bible said and I just laughed. "That silly thing, why heavens no. Who ever heard of such a rediculous idea as some invisible being making people do bad things..everyone knows it's just poor behavior on the part of the person" They were shocked and the woman stammered...'rediculous..Satan??" to which I looked her dead in the eyes with a big smile, and pentacle blazing,"why yes..I suppose everyone needs a scapegoat" They were out of the area very soon.
